Updates

• Students will now need a DOE account to access zoom. 
(You will need your child's OSIS number to access the account- I will text it to you this week.)
To retrieve student account ID and password, visit: Student Account Self Service https://idm.nycenet.edu/students/start.form  

• The Learning packet that may be used for the remainder of the school year is available for pick-up this week from 9am - 1pm.  Also available for pick up is a backpack with fun learning materials inside! Please remember to bring a shopping bag with you to pick up the items.

• Online learning will continue for the rest of this school year.

Question for the Week:

What can we learn about animal babies?

Weekly Foundational Read-Aloud:

Questions to ask your child in response to the read-aloud:

• What are some of the animal babies that lived in the meadow?

• What are some of the animal homes, or habitats, in the meadow?

Learn at Home activity for today:

Monday: 

Play-Doh Animals: 

If play-doh or clay is available, your child can create the animal babies they are studying. Show your child pictures of the animal so they may reference as they create. Use the names of the animal babies frequently throughout the activity. Children can also use play-doh or clay to create objects related to the animal babies such as food, homes, etc. Ask your child to tell you about their animal. You can add this as dictation to their project or invite them to add their own writing!

Children can also use recycled materials to create objects related to the animal babies such as food, homes, etc. Ask your child to tell you about their animal and add this as dictation to their project or invite them to add their own writing.  Please email a picture of any completed work to MsMcGarryCOVID19@gmail.com !
